Current guidelines for onsite research at Chesney Archives
The Chesney Archives is pleased to provide reproductions of our materials. A reasonable fee is charged for making reproductions regardless of media. The charges reflect the amount necessary to cover the actual costs of equipment, supplies, and time incident to such copying of content.
When using content for reasons other than personal or research purposes, permission fees may apply. These fees help to offset the costs of cataloging and preserving the collections. The terms and fees for permissions are spelled out in greater detail on the fee schedules included in the application forms.
The Chesney Archives also provides archival services to the Johns Hopkins community. These services include records management, material culture management, exhibit management, and tours. The charges for these services can be found in the corresponding fee schedules.
