Current Guidelines for Onsite Research at Chesney Archives
The Chesney Archives is pleased to offer records management services for Johns Hopkins departments and offices with paper and other hardcopy records that are no longer in active use. Please contact us for more information.
The Chesney Archives employs an offsite storage facility for materials requiring long-term retention. Contact us for assistance with records requiring long-term or permanent archival preservation.
Records held in the Chesney Archives records management program are only available to the departments that deposit them. The Chesney Archives does not allow individuals outside the originating departments to access records without permission.
Authorized staff may request the loan of files or boxes. To request a file, contact us. Please specify the file name and the box’s record center number.
Records that are no longer part of the Chesney Archives records management program may be made available for research. Access to and use of archival materials is subject to laws, regulations, and Johns Hopkins policies protecting rights to privacy and intellectual property.
