Biography

Harriet Gibbens Acheson was born in Mong Nai, Burma, now Myanmar. She received her Bachelor of Science from Ottawa University in 1929 and diploma from the Philedelphia Baptist Institute in 1932. She received her nursing diploma in 1937 from Johns Hopkins Hospital School of Nursing. She was an active missionary and nurse in Burma and India throughout her life.

Scope and Content

The Harriet Gibbens Acheson Collection consists of a copy of a scrapbook documenting her missionary work in Burma.
