Biography

Edith Bennett received her nursing diploma in 1908 from the Church Home and Infirmary School of Nursing. She acted as superintendent of nursing at Church Home from 1910 to 1912. She also served as president of its Nurses Alumnae Association from 1912-1913. She worked in public health nursing in rural West Virginia before serving in World War I. She received certificate from the city of Verdun, France for her service at the Evacuation Hospital no. 1 there.
