Biography
Josephine Kirby-Smith was born in Sewanee, Tennessee. She received her nursing diploma in 1906 from the Johns Hopkins Hospital Training School for Nurses. She married Roades Fayerweather, a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine class of 1903, in March of 1909.

The Josephine Kirby-Smith Collection consists of a photograph album of The Johns Hopkins Hospital from 1903 to 1904.
