Margaret Elliott

1884-1966

Elliott, a director of nursing for Church Home and Hospital, was born in Wilmington, North Carolina. She received her nursing diploma from Church Home and Infirmary School for Nurses in 1912.

Elliott spent her entire career at Church Home, serving as assistant superintendent of the school for nurses, instructor, director of instruction, assistant director of the hospital, and director of nursing service. She was director of the School of Nursing and nursing service from 1950 until her retirement in 1956.

Elliott was honored in the naming of the Nash-Elliott Education Building in 1952.
