People At Work Photographs
(Temporarily placed in this section, though these 2 boxes also
include photos devoid of people. This classification needs to be
reassigned when the photo collection is recataloged.)
These photographs were produced by, and or, for, the Public Relations
Office serving the Johns Hopkins Medical Insitutions. The collection
of several thousand images consists of series of contact prints
(cut into strips of 4 images per strip) and corresponding negatives
strips. The collection arrived in parts, over a span of years, the
last part in 1996, (96.07AMC), which provided information allowing
it to be reassembled and integrated according to the original index.
It is now relatively complete. The original index is numbered in
10's, and runs from 10 to 300; each series probably represents one
or more rolls of film. Most of the negatives packets are labeled,
those entries follow the general index.
