Photograph albums - Helen Taussig.
Album - California photos, 1919-1920. Compiled by Helen Taussig this album contains photos of her student days at the University of California at Berkley. Photos include a large number images of female students wearing elaborate dance costumes in outdoor settings. The dancers are often striking "pre-Raphaelite" poses. Two images of an event held at the open air amphitheatre at Berkeley, during which an enormous American flag is draped over the back wall. Also scenes from the Rose Bowl, football game and parade in 1919. In addition photos from a visit Taussig made with Anna Perkins during Christmas week to Yosemite valley and other (coastal, mountain, and urban) scenery. Only a few images are identified

These apparently are photographs of the Dr. Taussig's young cardiac patients - "post-surgery" appearing as healthy, happy, normal children. The photographs provided by grateful parents kept her informed of their childrens' progress. There are formal and informal photos showing children on holiday greeting cards, and many photos of children playing. There are also some photos of Dr. Taussig, and a few of Dr. Blalock flying in to treat a patient and /or visit a clinic abroad. Also photos of Henry Bahnson. Taussig and Blalock shown on airport tarmac. Circa 1946 -1951.

Approximately 100 prints and negatives of x rays, angiograms, EKGs, and medical illustrations--some of which were used as diagrams for her textbook, Congenital Malformations of the Heart. Photos of infants affected by Thalidomide.
