The Medical Archives is rich in holdings that are of interest to individuals studying genealogy and family history. While records currently exist only in hard copy, the archives offer our online catalog, finding aids and information on how to conduct research in the various types of records.

- Biographical Files of individuals associated with the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions
- Johns Hopkins directories of faculty, staff, and alumni
- School Catalogs for Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health
- Student Records of graduates of the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health
- Alumni magazines and other institutional publications, such as the Bulletin of the Johns Hopkins Hospital
- Records of the Longevity Study and the Constitution Clinic
